The Pearce's 2010 Year In Review
Ryan and I have had a great year and we wanted to recap all the fun things we have done throughout. So here goes our year in Review, beware, we have done a lot so this is a LONG post
January: Returned home from our 2 week honeymoon in Hawaii and started our new life together as husband and wife. We returned home and realized we had left the sprinklers on while we were gone so our house and front yard was like a winter wonderland, including a nice ice skating rink! I started this blog as a way to post recipes that we like and to provide information on nutrition topics.
Our first New Years together as the Pearce's. Enjoyed a nice dinner at Norio's Fairmont Orchid
A Full Moon to bring in the new year - Mauna Kea Observatory on January 1, 2010

How we spent New Years Day in 2010The winter wonderland in our yard
February: The "Hallmark" holiday known as Valentine's day brought the Black-Eyed Peas to Birmingham. We went with Mandi and Jared Clark to the concert and had one of the best times ever! I love the BEP so the night was spent dancing and watching Fergie on stage.

March: Officially became a Pilates Instructor. I completed my 12 month apprenticeship at Pilates on Highland. This led to a career change, as I stopped working as a clinical Dietitian. March was also the month where I started trying to get this house more organized. More on how that came out later!
Couldn't be more happy as a Pilates Instructor and I enjoy all of my clients
April: Gardening! We built our raised garden bed and started to get our back yard in shape. Planted some different plants around our yard and enjoyed all of those spring flowers that were available at the local nurseries.
Our Garden filled with Heirloom varieties from The Tasteful Garden
May: BUSY month! We started off with a trip to Memphis for Memphis in May with the Clarks. Enjoyed a stay at the historical Peabody and digging in to Rendezvous Ribs. A memorial day trip to Long Boat Key was also in the plans. We went off shore fishing and enjoyed time with my family. Local favorites like the Columbia Restaurant and Tommy Bahamas Cafe were visited.
My attempt at being a Hippie! Enjoying the concerts at Memphis in May (despite the BAD weather)
At Silky O'Sullivans for the famous Bucket Drink
Beautiful Long Boat Key
June: My little Nephew, John Pierce, turned 2 and Ryan turns 28! We headed to Destin with the Clarks and met up with Chris and Destin for the Billy Bowlegs Party. Nathan and Jill gets married in Birmingham!
About time to harvest our garden!

At Billy Bowlegs, nothing can describe this experience!

July: Happy birthday America and Happy Birthday Jared. Spent the 4th of July on Smith Lake in Alabama. Then headed to Rogue tavern in the middle of the month for a concert and to celebrate Jared's Birthday.
We extended our patio and got lounge furniture. We really enjoy being out on our porch so much
August: Last minute trip to San Francisco and a weekend getaway to Napa. We loved visiting the wine country and tasting all of the many wines that they produce. San Francisco was an amazing city and cannot wait to visit again. Headed to Atlanta and celebrated Austin Martin's 30th Birthday. Had a great time and it was an amazing party, enjoyed spending time with everyone and especially Kelly Martin's Lemon Margaritas. And last but not least, my 10 year reunion. Wow, has it been ten years since I graduated from high school??? Had a great time with the Burg Girls at our luncheon and really enjoyed catching up with all the Leesburg Alumni!

September: Baby Ella arrives! I now have a beautiful niece! FOOTBALL Season. Although Florida let me down this year, HEY you can't be the best every year, Auburn did great. Ryan enjoyed watching the Auburn Tigers have a perfect regular season and is now heading to the National Championship.
Johnny LOVES his granny sooo much
October: Football continues! Chuck and Nathan come to Alabama for the Gator game and we have a great time. Then I celebrate my birthday at the Swamp. Even though we lose, it was a great 29th birthday (hopefully next year for my 30th I can be in Italy.... hint hint). Anna and I also start taking a class at Samford on Photography - learned a lot but definitely need to continue to learn more about composition. The end of October was not the best as both Ryan and I got a horrible stomach bug, so Halloween was very low key! But, Florida did Beat Georgia so that helped!
Nathan, Chuck, Ryan, and I tailgating
Happy Halloween
November: Thanksgiving. Lots of food and family on Thanksgiving day. Enjoyed our time in Millry, Alabama with Ryan's family. We then headed to the Iron Bowl - what a great game and environment. I loved talking trash at Bryant Denny! Tailgating with JennJo, Jay and Angel was a lot of fun as well. Back to Millry to celebrate Ryan's 10 year reunion. Quite different from mine as he graduated with 28 people and I graduated with over 400! Still a great time.

Tucher's First "in the back" Truck Ride
December: Had an SEC party at the house and in the 3rd quarter had airline tickets and a hotel room to go to Glendale, Arizona for the National Championship! Ryan heads to Las Vegas for a bachelorette party for Drew (can't find any pictures from that....) A last minute vacation change had us on our way to New York City to celebrate our 1st anniversary. We made it a year and had a WONDERFUL time together as you can see! NYC was amazing- great food and a great environment. We headed to Florida for Christmas with my family. Had a wonderful time with my nephew and niece of course, and the rest of my cousins and family. The Burg Girls had their annual Christmas Dinner. Sara made the meal and it was delicious!
